Back problems?

Unlimited Rapid Massive Traffic

Question by Kristin: Back problems?
I just turned 14 in march, and right now my lower back is killing me, and it just aches down there. It feels the same as a pulled hamstring would and the same feeling when you stretch it. The thing is, I’m not sure what’s causing it. Could it be my bed? I sleep only on a matress on the floor, no bed frame) but I also do strenous workouts for two hours 3 to 4 times a week. I’m too young to be having back problems! I have relatively good posture, and very strong visible abs so I don’t thing my lower back is weak. Overworked? Badly slept on?

And another thing, what’s a good way to reduce the pain/ache?

i have had the same problem, im 17 and have had it for a good couple of moths now, i found that mine was because of my bed, i used to sleep on 2 matresses and on my front, i have now learnt that a stiff matress should be used and try sleeping on your side.

a good way to reduce the pain is by getting a sports massage on the painful area.

Can you please help with headaches caused by my cell phone?

Question by natobanato2: Can you please help with headaches caused by my cell phone?
For years I’ve used my cell and had no problem. Then for about 4 months I had almost constant exposure to whatever energy, signals, electromagnetic fields, etc that these cause. After such a time I developed headaches. At first I didn’t notice then. Then they got worse. It is a heart ache to live without my phone. How can I stop these headaches without giving up my cell? (please note your sources if possible.)

For heavens sake, if you’ve used phone for years without problem, and nothing else has changed, its almost certainly not the phone. Have you consulted a doctor, could be brain tumour or anything. How old are you? Mobile phones did not exist not that many years ago, people have lived without them for centuries, go to you doctor.

Question by Inkslinger: In a headache remedy, what is a ‘London Protocol’?
I know it’s a slang term for several medicinal things, taken by twos, but I can’t, for the life of me, remember the ingredients. Anyone know?

The only headache remedy that I know that works is pressing your fingers against the pain area, holding it for 30 seconds, stretching that part of your neck out and holding it there for one minute after the release on the pain.

If i get blurry vision than a huge headache for an hour or two then throw up, can it be migraines. Also when i am in loud areas and my head hurts, could those me migraines?? Do you think i have migraines, if so what should i tell my doctor?

          Answer by Matt Mc.
A migraine headache is a form of vascular headache. Migraine headache is caused by a combination of vasodilatation (enlargement of blood vessels) and the release of chemicals from nerve fibers that coil around the blood vessels. During a migraine attack, the temporal artery enlarges. (The temporal artery is an artery that lies on the outside of the skull just under the skin of the temple.) Enlargement of the temporal artery stretches the nerves that coil around the artery and causes the nerves to release chemicals. The chemicals cause inflammation, pain, and further enlargement of the artery. The increasing enlargement of the artery magnifies the pain.
